[Software description]
This software is TeraStation V Series Firmware Update Utility to update unit firmware to Ver.1.10.
If your unit firmware is Ver.1.10 or later version, you do not have to use this utility.

[How to confirm firmware version]
Select TeraStation from NAS Navigator2 utility search screen.
The firmware version is displayed right and bottom corner in the status screen.


[Caution]
- Please consult you local representative if you experience malfunction problem cause by firmware update.
- Do not turn the unit off until complete messages appear. It might takes several minutes in the case.
- The USB hard disk is not mounted automatically after firmware update.
  In this case, please perform unplug operation then plug it again for detection.

[How to use updater]
1. Connect the TeraStation properly and configure a computer which runs the updater and TeraStation so that both of them have the same network address. 
 * For example, IP address / subnet mask of the computer is 
  " 192.168.0.10 ／ 255.255.255.0 "
  and IP address / subnet mask of the TeraStation is 
  " 192.168.1.150 ／ 255.255.255.0 "
  then they do not work properly. 
  In such a case, reconfigure these values for the TeraStation to  
  " 192.168.0.150 ／ 255.255.255.0 "
2. Exit all applications which are currently running. Also, stop or exit firewall Since update cannot be performed while firewall software and such is running. 
3. Extract the downloaded file and run "TSUpdater.exe" which is included in the extracted file. After the TeraStation is found, a screen is displayed. 
4. Select the TeraStation to update if multiple TeraStation are connected. 
5. Press the "Update" button to display the screen to enter the password.  
6. Enter the password and press "OK". 
7. Transferring and updating the firmware will start. Wait until it completes. 
　* The info LED flashes while updating. 
8. Update is completed when the completed message is displayed.

 =Added and modified features
  [Virus check feature]
  - Equipped with "Trend Micro NAS Security (TM)" by Trend Micro and now virus check feature is now supported.   
    Please purchase the extended and prolong pack for virus check feature sold separately (OP-TSVC-5Y, OP-TSVC-3Y, OP-TSVC-1Y) when you want to use virus check feature. 
  
  [Link with web service feature]
  - Supports a feature of linking Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and shared folder of TeraStation.
    You need to prepare Amazon S3 account especially for this purpose.  
  
  [SNMP]
  -SNMP is now supported. 
    TeraStation can be browsed from the network management software which supports SNMP protocol. 
    Download the private MIB definition and Buffalo MIB definition files for TS-V series from Buffalo's download service.  
  
  [WebAccess]
  - The newest version of the WebAccess is now 3.4.  
  - Improved the interface when accessing from iPhone / iPad / iPod touch / Android. 
  - Changed and extended the supported devices and OS.

  [Web Configuration]
  - Now Arabian, Finnish, and Turkish are supported to display in Web Configuration screen. 
  - Modified to be able to input the reserved address of the class B when inputting the IP address in Web Configuration screen. 

  [System]
  - Supported Mac OS X v10.7 Lion 
    - Fixed the problem that the folder for which the access restriction was set could not be connected by AFP from Mac OS X v10.7 Lion.  
    - Fixed the problem that Time Machine backup could not be performed on Mac OS X v10.7 Lion. 
  - Improved a part of the performance of writing to the TeraStation.  
  - Supports Windows Server Backup. 
    The shared folder of the TeraStation can be now selected as a backup destination for the Windows Server Backup feature. 


 = Bug Fix
  [Backup]
  - Fixed the problem that the backup destination could not be found from the Web Configuration screen when the multiple shared folders whose backup destinations were enabled were existed.  
  - Fixed the problem that the share folder in the TeraStation was not occasionally able to open when backing up to the TeraStation using a backup software provided by a third party. 
  - Fixed the problem that the backup of Ethernet 2 was also disabled when disabling backup service of Ethernet 1 on the network service setting. 
  - Fixed the problem that the backup was not properly complete if a password was set for the shared folder on another TeraStation as a backup source. 

  [Replication and Fail over] 
  - Fixed the problem that mail notification was occasionally failed when failing replication. 
  - Improved so that the replication error (I33) would not occur when rebooting TeraStation/LinkStation which was set to the destination of the replication when configuring replication. 
    Improved the system to restart replication after rebooting it. 
  - Fixed the problem that E26 was notified when the synchronization error was occurred on the replication. 
  - Fixed the problem that a file which was not reflected on the replication destination existed when uploading to the replication source by a specific FTP client when configuring replication. 
  - Fixed the problem that a file with consecutive "space" and "#" in its name in the replication destination was not properly synchronized to the replication destination when copying that file.  
  - Fixed the problem that fail over was not able to be started if the replication configuration has been set once and that replication configuration was deleted.
  - Fixed the problem that the warning message was displayed and the copy could not be completed when copying many files on Samba to the replication source or a main device when the replication or the fail over was structured. 
  - Modified to request to update the ARP table on timing that the fail over was occurred and the backup device was switched to the main device 
  - Added a button to re-synchronize on the Web Configuration screen which was displayed when the synchronization error was occurred during the fail over. 
  - Fixed the problem that the network service configuration was not reflected to the backup device. 
  - Fixed the problem that the I33 notification was not erased after the fail over structure was released. 
  - Fixed the problem that a file which was not reflected on the backup device existed when uploading to the main device by a specific FTP client when configuring fail over.

  - Fixed the problem that the WebAccess features using UPnP could not be configured on specific routers.  
  - Fixed the problem that "500 Internal Server Error" occurred when downloading more than 2 files or a folder. 

  [FTP]
  - Modified to compete with the vulnerability when FTP feature is enabled.  
  - Fixed the problem that the files put-sent after that were also appended after a text file was append-sent with FTP feature.    
  
  [Disk]
  - Fixed the problem that failing to create the array after performing the complete disk format. 
  - Fixe the problem that E22 occurred mistakenly when rebuilding an array after multiple disks were malfunctioned when using RAID51. 
  - Fixed the problem that the array could not be rebuilt if 3 drives were malfunctioned when using RAID61. 
  - Change the timing to deleting notifications of E30 and I31 when a drive was malfunctions and array was being rebuilt. 
  - Fixed the problem that I18 notification was not erased even when rebuilding was completed after the power was back when the power was forced to shut down during rebuilding the array. 
  -  Fixed the problem that the I46 was not notified when expanding the space by adding the drive using RMM feature on RAID5 or 6. 
  - Fixed the problem that the malfunctioned drive which caused many Read errors was not automatically removed from the array.
  - Fixed the problem that the spare drive configuration could not be done by the Function switch after malfunctioned drive was replaced in the environment that the spare drive was configured.  

  [UPS]
  - Fixed the problem that the TeraStation was repeatedly rebooted when a UPS manufactured by Omron was synchronized with UPS connected by a serial cable. 

  [Web Configuration Screen]
  - Fixed the problem that array that normal mode expanded was not displayed a list of disk screen on the web configuration screen when LVM was enabled. 
  - Fixed the problem that drive could not be ejected from the list of the drives in the web configuration screen when expand the normal mode drive using RMM feature.  
  - Fixed the problem that LVM volumes were not displayed in the list of LVM volumes in the web configuration screen if many LVM volumes were created. 
  - Fixed the problem that non-intended contents were displayed if the language other than Japanese was used in the web configuration screen.
  - Improved the display when the long strings were used for user explanation in the list of the user in the web configuration screen.   
  - fixed the problem that encrypted array which was created by using the RMM feature in the web configuration screen was not displayed in the list of the drives. 
  - Fixed the problem that the title bar was not displayed correctly in the web configuration screen of the backup device during structuring fail over.  

  [BitTorrent]
  - Fixed the problem that the configuration set in the BItTorrent download manager configuration screen was not maintained when rebooted or firmware update. 
  - Fixed the problem that buttons were not displayed when displaying BitTorrent download manager configuration screen in the Internet Explorer. 

  [System]
  - Fixed the problem that "Unknown Md Area" or "Unknown Disk" was displayed in notification mails. 
  - Fixed the problem that dozens of mails were sent if USB hard drive was malfunctioned during backing up to the USB hard drive which was connected to the TeraStation.  
  - Modified not to set the disk which was set as a spare disk to the media cartridge directly. 
  - Fixed the problem that performing search by including the extension in the TeraSearch did not work properly. 
  - Fixed the problem that a boot process of the TeraStation was not complete if many (approximately 1.5 million) file folders exist in shallow level in one shared folder. 
  - Modified the expression in the notified mail when the Read error occurred on a drive which was not used in the array (a drive in the normal mode) or a USB drive. 
  - Fixed the problem that I11 would not be released just when the drive I11 was occurred was replaced. 
  - Fixed the problem that I12 was displayed while the array was not built. 
  - Fixed the problem that I11 was disappeared when rebooting the system on the environment that I11 was displayed. 
  - Modified to reset the configuration of drive's shared folders which was set to media cartridge when setting back to the normal format. 
  - Fixed the problem that the "LINK SPEED1" was not occasionally displayed on LCD for the Ethernet device 1.  
  - Fixed the problem that "100M HALF" was displayed for LINK SPEED display on LCD even if transmitting in 100 Mbps Full duplex.
  - Fixed the problem that connecting to the TeraStation by Samba caused an error if a full-byte character is used in DFS feature after Windows update. 
  - Modified to deal with the Samba's vulnerability (CVE-2011-0719). 
  - Fixed the problem that the boot process of the TeraStation was not completed because a malfunctioned drive could not be detected.  
    When this occurs, updating to Ver.1.10 will notice the drive malfunction notification (E30) after system is rebooted.
